Voting on Monday, the first day of early voting for the May 13 municipal and school elections, was for the most part light.

Temple

In the Temple school board races, 54 early votes were cast on Monday. In the 2004 school board election, 22 votes were cast the first day of early voting.

Eight votes were cast in the District 4 race between incumbent John Kirchhoff and Susan Long, and 46 votes were cast in the District 5 election between incumbent and school board President Kathryn Hermans and challenger Steve Wright.

Early voting will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until Tuesday, May 9, at the Administration Classroom Support and Service Center at 200 N. 23rd St.
