Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mrs. Showalter died April 28, in Los Alamos.
She was born in Bloomingdale, N.J., to Amos Aungst and Jennie Hamilton-Aungst. She held nursing positions in New York, Minnesota, California and Texas as a registered nurse. She married David Showalter on Sept. 3, 1949, in Monrovia, Calif. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple and the Alumni Association of Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Watson of Los Alamos and Jane Solari of Jolon, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scott and White Memorial Hospital or a charity of choice.
Block-Salazar Mortuary of Espanola, N.M., is in charge of arrangements.
