Bell County is not restricting fireworks during Fourth of July celebrations this year, but county and city officials advise people to be extra careful with fireworks because of dry weather conditions.

Bell County Fire Marshal Steve Casey said the Bell County Fire Chiefs Association is sending fireworks stands a letter urging people to be cautious. The letter will remind people if their fireworks start a fire they can be liable. It will also tell them not to shoot fireworks from a roadside, he said.
