UMHB site new location for God, Country concert

BELTON - The 35th annual God and Country Concert, honoring men and women who have served their country in the armed forces, is scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the Mayborn Campus Center at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

The free concert will feature music by the Worship Choir of the First Baptist Church of Belton and the 1st Cavalry Division Band from Fort Hood. The concert moves this year to the Mayborn Campus Center after being held for many years at the Bell County Expo Center.

The event will begin with a welcome, scripture reading and prayer by the Rev. Andy Davis, pastor of First Baptist Church. A Fort Hood Color Guard will perform the presentation of colors. Davis will lead the pledge of allegiance, followed by the band, choir and audience performing
