Rogers' Jungmann, Coots lead area players on TSWA all-state team

Rogers won 31 games and appeared in the University Interscholastic League Class 2A state tournament for the first time in school history this season, and it showed on the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Baseball Team released Wednesday.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Taylor Jungmann and junior outfielder Marshall Coots were first-team selections and paced a corps of six Eagles voted to the TSWA squad.

Junior pitcher Alan Valenzuela, junior catcher Chris Joshlin, junior shortstop Braxton Byers and senior third baseman Clint Watson all were third-team picks.
