About 50 people gathered for the groundbreaking of the expansion of the SPJST home office Wednesday in downtown Temple.
The proposed 16,000-square-foot, $2.2 million addition is set to be completed in May 2007.
Vanguard Construction is serving as project manager, and Charles Voelter, who designed the existing SPJST office, drew up the plans for the expansion as well.
