Gale Rorabaugh, 82, of Copperas Cove was among the veterans at the Purple Heart Trail ceremony Saturday at the Texas Department of Public Safety office, 6612 S. Gen. Bruce Drive in Temple.
He still limps from a wound he received when a landing craft set off an acoustic mine in the English Channel during World War II.
