Bell justice center entry will be easier with ID

BELTON - Attorneys who make numerous trips to the Bell County Justice Center may find it a little easier to get inside.

Unlike the old district courts building, which had essentially no security, the new center has increased security with a metal detector for people to walk through and a scanner for purses, briefcases and like items.

County Judge Jon Burrows, Precinct 3 Commissioner Eddy Lange and Precinct 2 Commissioner Tim Brown reviewed an application and procedures for attorney identification cards with Bell County Bar Association President Mark Whitaker Wednesday. Burrows then administratively approved it.
