BELTON - It was more than just another American Southwest Conference game. It was a coming-out party for the Mary Hardin-Baylor Lady Crusaders, who proved once and for all that they are for real.

UMHB got boosts of production in the paint and off the bench to knock off previously unbeaten Texas-Tyler 73-65 Thursday night at Mayborn Campus Center.

The Lady Crusaders (3-1), who went 11-17 last season, are off to a 3-0 conference start in their second year under coach Kim Kirkpatrick and sit atop the ASC West Division.
