Fancy Jezek appointed to new district court

AUSTIN (Spl.) - Gov. Rick Perry announced Tuesday he has appointed Temple attorney Fancy H. Jezek as judge of the 426th Judicial District Court serving Bell County.

Ms. Jezek will serve until the next general election.

The Texas Legislators created the 426th District Court after Judge Rick Morris, 146th District Court judge, went before the Legislature in 2005 to argue for an additional court in Bell County. He was armed with population growth figures and the number of civil and criminal cases pouring into the Bell County court system.

The court will handle criminal and domestic cases, including divorce.
