Harvey Lee Burch, 89, of Temple died Wednesday, Jan. 10, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Burial with military honors will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

He was born in Lott to Thomas and Beulah Mae (Parker) Burch. He grew up on and around the family farm. He joined the Army and served during World War II in the European Theater. He was discharged from Fort Hood and settled in the Temple area. He went to work as an electrician with the Santa Fe Railroad, working there until he retired. He married Virginia Mae Buck in 1971, She preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors are two daughters, Barbara Patton of Temple and Jeanette Wardwell of McGregor; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
