Juan Garcia Vera, 69, of Temple, died Thursday, Jan. 11, in his residence.

Services will be at 6 p.m. today in Harper-Talasek Funeral Home.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in North Belton Cemetery.

Mr. Vera was born in San Diego, Texas, to Jose and Maria (Garcia) Vera. He worked as a welder for 33 years.

Survivors are his wife, Helen Vera; children, Rosie Torres, Ruth Amaro, John Vera Jr. and Crystal Vera, all of Temple, and Rita Vera of Waco; a brother, Timothy Vera of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
