AUSTIN (AP) - Driven indoors by a winter storm that glazed the Capitol with a sheet of ice, Gov. Rick Perry began his second full term Tuesday with the oath of office and a message that reached beyond Texas.
Perry will be the longest serving governor in state history - 10 years - if he completes his term. But he has also been mentioned as a potential Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008.
