Services for Florine Hudge Venable Blane, 76, of Temple, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in Temple, with Superintendent Shelton Rhodes officiating.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Temple.

Mrs. Blane died Thursday, Jan. 18, at a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Blane was born to T.D. and Irene Jones Hodge in Temple. She attended Temple schools. She was a member of Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ. She married Gus Blane in Temple. She was employed at Woods Manufacture Inc. for 18 years and was a beautician in Temple for more than 50 years.

Survivors are three daughters, Shirley Lewis and Carolyn Thomas, both of Temple, and Irene Grooms of Killeen; six sons, William Venable, Wilton Venable and Reggie Venable, all of Temple, Roland Venable of Sacramento, Calif., Ronnie Hodges of North Highland, Calif., and Rodney Venable of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, T.D. Hodge of Temple and Joe Roy Burgess of San Antonio; one sister, Tommie Dell Guy of Waco; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Viewing is noon-6 p.m. today at Hornsby-Murcherson Funeral Home in Temple. Visitation is 5-6 p.m. today.
