Services for Roy Edward Barfield, 76, of Rogers, will be at 10 a.m. today in the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with minister Gene Greer officiating.

Private family burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Barfield died Monday, Jan. 22, in a Temple hospital.

He was born in Temple to Albus Emmitt and Elsa Schmidt Barfield. He married Elizabeth Lawbon Barfield on June 24, 1950, and they lived in Temple most of their married life. When he retired, they built a home on their farm near Rogers. His education was in Temple except for courses in various trades such as air conditioning and boilers. As a child he worked in his parents
