Services for Winnie Lolita Griffith Johnson, 89, of Temple will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Rogers with Will Passmore and John Witte officiating.
Burial will be 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
She died Tuesday, Jan. 30, in a Temple nursing home.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Fort Worth to Willis Andrew Wimberley and Lillie Mae (Byrom) Wimberley. She was raised and educated in Union Grove. She married Melvin Edward Griffith on May 6, 1934, in Knox City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 31, 1966; two sons, Melvin Edward Griffith Jr. and Jimmy Howard Griffith; and a daughter, Ima Lee Brown.
Survivors are three sons, Bob Griffith of Houston, and Jerry Griffith and Joe Griffith, both of Davilla; a brother, E.Q. Wimberley; two sisters, Faye Crenshaw and Pearl Graham; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Sheffield Funeral Home in Temple.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Citizen Activity Fund, Temple Living Center West, 1700 Marlandwood Road, Temple, 76502, or the Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Rogers.
