The donation of $1,500 will allow the THS HYO to buy new folklorico dancing shoes and accessories to add to their costumes.
The group also plans to add other dances to their performance, which will require such accessories as girls and boys shoes, earrings, galas and rebozos (beautiful multi-function shawls).
Albert Riojas of LULAC came to Temple High School and presented the check to HYO sponsor Gloria Duarte.
