Despite moving into a more competitive division than last year, Holy Trinity Catholic High School won the state title for the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools 3A academic meet held at Concordia University in Austin.
Holy Trinity has received first place the past two years in the 2A division. Forensics and academic coach Chris Mosmeyer said that he was worried about their chances since moving up to the 3A level. His concerns turned out to be unfounded, as Holy Trinity won by a 35-point margin - the highest in the school
