Services for Juan G. Hernandez, 85, of Temple will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Ranjan Cletus officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Scanio–Harper Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, May 3, in a local hospital.

He was born in Goliad to Esteban and Luz Garcia Hernandez. He had been a Temple resident most of his life and was a Catholic.

Two sons, Ernesto and Domingo Hernandez, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Eloisa Hernandez of Temple; a sister, Josie H. Escamilla of Corpus Christi; a brother, Joe Hernandez of California; and numerous grandchildren and great–grandchildren.
