LITTLE RIVER–ACADEMY — Services for Raymond B. Sanders, 80, of Little River-Academy will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Little River United Methodist Church with Dr. Linda Mitchell and the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Wilson Valley Cemetery.
He died Friday, May 4, in a local hospital.
He was born in Cameron to Felix and Harvie Burns Sanders. He married Margie Lee Moses on Jan. 25, 1957. He worked as a nursing assistant at Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Center. He was a member of Little River United Methodist Church; the Little River– Academy Lions Club; the Little River Volunteer Fire Department; and Belton Masonic Lodge No. 166, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason.
His wife and a daughter, Marsha Ann Sanders, preceded him in death.
Survivors are a daughter, Sharon DePriest of Little River–Academy; a son, Terry Dobbs of Little River–Academy; a sister, Nancy Light of Salado; and two brothers, Harvey Ray Sanders of Irving and Roy Sanders of Modesto, Calif.
Memorials may be made to Little River United Methodist Church.
Visitation is 3–5 p.m. today at Scanio–Harper Funeral Home.
