ROCKDALE — Services for Faye Delle Hargrove-Burgess, 96, of Sharp will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Bill Whaley officiating.

Burial will be in Sandy Creek Cemetery near Rockdale.

Mrs. Burgess died Monday, June 4, at a Temple hospital.

She was born in Milam County to Walter and Mary (McCoy) Yoakum. She was head of the water department for the city of Rockdale for 25 years. She married Alonzo Lilburn Hargrove on Nov. 27, 1935, in Waco. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1956. She married Woodrow Burgess Sr. in April 1982 in Edinburg. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 2003.

She was a member of Murray Street Church of Christ since 1953.

Survivors are one son, Clyde Hargrove of Sharp; one daughter, Dorothy Jenkins of Rockdale; two sisters, Kate Broderson of LaMarque and Charlotte Wentzel of Santa Fe, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
