Services for Melissa “Mel” Willard, 43, of Temple will be at a later date.

Mrs. Willard died Saturday, June 2, at her residence.

She was born in Cincinnati to Robert Alonzo and Marilou Popp Boots. She attended schools in San Antonio and worked as a barber at Esquire Barber Shop in Temple. She married James Willard on Sept. 20, 2004, at South Padre Island.

Survivors are her husband of Temple; two stepdaughters, Nickayla Willard and Rachel Molnar, both of Temple; a stepson, Ethan Willard of Temple; two sisters, Robin Elizabeth Boots of Temple and Kimberly Lynn Baxter of Harker Heights; and step-father, Dale Mortis of San Antonio.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
