GATESVILLE — Services for Fred Ray, 73, of Haltom City and formerly of Killeen will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ater Cemetery with the Rev. Nathan Booth officiating.

Mr. Ray died Tuesday, June 5, at his home.

He was born in Gatesville to Charlie Franklin and Sally Emily Kays Ray. He attended school in Jonesboro. Mr. Ray attended barber school in Fort Worth and was a barber at Fort Hood. He married Arzell Boone in Gatesville in 1972. He lived most of his life in Killeen but moved to Haltom City for health reasons.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998.

Survivors are a daughter, Talitha Erwin of Haltom City; three stepsons, Robert Henson of Nolanville, Shawn Henson of Haltom City and Tommy Henson of Fort Worth; and a brother, Charlie Ray of Lubbock.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Gatesville Funeral Home.
