LAMPASAS — Services for Bernice Cavness, 93, of Lampasas and formerly Cherokee will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Church of Christ with minister Doug Suggs officiating.

Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery near Cherokee.

Mrs. Cavness died Saturday, June 23, at a Temple hospital.

She was born in Cherokee to Bert and Gertrude Arrott Parisher.

She was a homemaker. She married Damon Edward Cavness. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Cherokee Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Pat Cavness of Lampasas; one daughter, Danna Seale of Lampasas; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home or to the Lampasas Association for the Arts.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.
