COPPERAS COVE — Services for Mattie Ethel Anderson, 58, of Kempner will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove with the Rev. John Hooser officiating.

The body will be cremated.

Mrs. Anderson died Saturday, June 23, at her home.

She was born in Fort Worth to Vernon and Opal Esch Cantrell.

She was a clerk at 7-Eleven. She was reared in Denton and moved to Central Texas in 1981.

She married Gary L. Anderson on Nov. 10, 1988, in Gatesville. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 1070, where she served as Worthy Matron 1995-1996 and 2003-2004. She was a member of Robertson Avenue Baptist Church in Copperas Cove.

Survivors include her husband, of Kempner; one son, Vernon Foote of San Antonio; two daughters, Stephanie Pate and Casey Whatley, both of Kempner; and 12 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robertson Avenue Baptist Church Youth Program.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
