Elizabeth Freeman

ROCKDALE — Services for Elizabeth J. Freeman, 69, of Round Rock and formerly Lexington will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Ruel Cooper and the Rev. Geary McManus officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche.

Mrs. Freeman died Saturday, June 23, at her home.

She was born in Gorman to Dewey O. Williams and Dovie Daun Butler. She worked 30 years as a teacher’s aid in the Lexington school district before retiring. She married Calvin Robert Freeman on June 4, 1954, in Comanche. She had lived in Round Rock the last two years. She had previously lived 40 years in Lexington. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Revolution of Texas and First Baptist Church in Lexington.

Survivors include her husband, of Round Rock; one son, Gary Freeman of Iola; two daughters, Cheryle Freeman of Round Rock and Amy Hutto of Cedar Park; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
