ROCKDALE — Hope Soto, 71, of Rockdale died Thursday, June 28, at a Temple hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with the Rev. Jimmy Hinojosa and the Rev. Jesus Reyes officiating.

Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Soto was born in Rockdale to Manuel and Manuela Flores Rodriguez. She was a homemaker. She married Arthur G. Soto on Oct. 20, 1972, in Rockdale. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild. She was a former member of First Assembly of God Church. She had lived in Rockdale the last 25 years.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Rodriguez and Rick Anthony Soliz, both of Houston; seven daughters, Blanche Rubio, Alice Cain, Stella Rodriguez and Paula Soto, all of Rockdale, Liz Rosas and Sophia Cabrera, both of Houston and Hope Bocanegra of Milano; two sisters, Jaime Compasano and Eva Mendoza, both of Houston; 39 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
