CAMERON — Private family services for Melba Downs Beck, 56, of Gause and formerly Crockett, will be held at a later date.

She died Wednesday, June 27, at her home.

Mrs. Beck was born in Houston County to Terrell David and Gertrude Willis Downs. She was a home healthcare provider and medications aid. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Leon Moore.

Survivors include three daughters, Carla Michelle and Rebecca Ann, both of Nacogdoches and Carrie Denice of Rockdale; two brothers, Beauford Downs of Nacogdoches and Leon D. Downs of Porter; two sisters, Loretta Wall of Gause and Georgia Johnson of Crockett; and three grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
