Ege, a McLennan Community College signee who helped lead the Trojanettes (35-3) to their second 2A state championship, was one of eight area players voted to the TSWA team.
Bobby Cervenka, who accepted the head coach’s job at Robinson last month, was named as 2A’s Coach of the Year for his effort at Troy’s helm.
Ege also was one of three area players to earn first-team honors. Trojanettes second baseman Desi Rauch was a first-team pick, as was Granger second baseman Sierra Repa in Class A.
Gatesville outfielder Randi Smith made the 3A second team. Troy catcher Shelby Shepperd and Trojanettes shortstop McKenzie Sickler, both Temple College signees, were third-team selections.
Rogers senior pitcher Victoria Mendoza received honorable mention on the 2A team.
