CAMERON — Services for Joseph John David, 82, of Temple, formerly of Cameron will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Chris Coleman officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home

Mr. David died Sunday, July 1, at his residence.

He was born in Linnton, Ore., to Joseph J. and Eva (Michalik) David. He moved to Cameron with his family in 1934, and moved to Temple in 1995, after his retirement from Central Butane Gas Co. He was a graduate of Yoe High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors are three sisters, Edith Vaculin of the Yarre-llton Community, Emilie Sevcik of El Campo and Mary Ann Plachy of Cameron.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
