CAMERON — Services for Evelyn Dorothy Abel, 85, of the Pettibone Community will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Johnny Kueker officiating.

Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Buckholts.

Mrs. Abel died Tuesday, July 3, at a Temple hospital.

She was born in Seaton to Edward and Elsie Schiller Tomasek. She owned the Swanky Franky Café and Dot’s Beauty Shop in Buckholts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Abel, in 1982. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Coufal. She was a member of Buckholts Brethren Church where she was also a member of the Buckholts Brethren Christian Sisters.

Survivors include one son, Albert Abel Jr. of Ingleside; one sister, Virginia Ezell of San Angelo; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
