COPPERAS COVE — No services are planned for Irene McLane Barbaria, 83, of Harker Heights.

She died Sunday, July 1, at a Killeen hospital.

The body will be cremated.

Mrs. Barbaria was born in Frankston to James Frank McLane and Emmie Gilliand McLane. She was a legal secretary with her husband for 40 years in their Dallas law firm. She had also been a nurse’s aid in Las Cruces, N.M. She married Salvatore S. Barbaria on April 15, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1990. She was active in the Democratic Party. She was a member of First Christian Church in Carlsbad, N.M.

Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Richardson of Kempner, Frances G. Sayre-Perry of Harker Heights and Truth B. La Clair of Carlsbad; two brothers, Travis McLane of Tyler and Sydney McLane of White Oak; one sister, Nelda Burke of Dallas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
