The body was cremated.

He died Tuesday, July 3, at a Temple hospital.

Mr. Wright was born in Maxdale to Jim and Carrie Wright. He was a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He had lived in Bell County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Wright, and a son, Billy Wright.

Survivors include two sons, Darrell Wright and James D. Wright, both of Temple; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
