BELTON — Services for Alene J. Drake, 86, of Belton will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Donald Dalton as the officiating minister.

Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery off South Interstate 35 and then off Shanklin Road between Belton and Salado.

Mrs. Drake died Thursday at a Temple hospital.

She was born in the Tennessee Valley Community to John and Amy Lou Bounds Birdsong. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Bell County. She married Deward Malcolm Drake Sr. on June 20, 1937, in Belton. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include one son, Deward Malcolm Drake Jr. of Alamos, Mexico; three daughters, Debbie Castello of Salado, Sara Dawkins of Belton and Kathie Blair of Temple; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
