BELTON — Services for Bautista Faye “Tista” Shaw, 85, of Salado will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Salado with the Rev. Travis Franklin and the Rev. Brady Johnson officiating.
Mrs. Shaw died Thursday, July 5, at a Temple hospital.
She was born in Fredonia to Charles and Jane McMillian Simpson. She owned an antique shop and an art studio at The Grainery in Salado. She married William “Bill” Shaw IV on Aug. 10, 1944, in Akron, Ohio. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30. 2004. She moved from Dallas to Salado in 1982. She was a founder of the Salado Spring Art Festival. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salado.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Johnson and Billie Sue Scales, both of Salado; two brothers, Jerry Simpson and Charles Simpson, both of Llano; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
