Services for Marion Lois Cheeves, 64, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Independent Methodist Church in Temple with the Rev. Steve Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Cheeves died Monday, July 23, in a Temple hospital.

She was born in Temple to Will and Callie Fitzgerald. She attended Dunbar High School in Temple. She was a member of Bethel Independent Methodist Church where she served as president of the usher board, sang in the choir and was a member of the golden girls. She married Alton Eugene Cheeves, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors are one son, Darrell Fitzgerald of Temple; one sister, Hattie Johnson of Temple; and one adopted sister, Donna Faye Gray of Tennessee.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday, with a wake from 6-7 p.m. at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.
