KILLEEN — Services for Doris J. Washington, 66, of Killeen will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with the Rev. Ruby McCray officiating.
Burial will be in Killeen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Washington died Sunday, July 22, at a local hospital.
She was born in Electric Mills, Miss., to Mack and Rosie Lee Flemings. She attended school in Carlsbad, N.M. and later met and married James Washington Sr. For the past 25 years her chosen profession was a health care provider for Texas Home Health Care in Waco and Belton; member of The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Kevin Washington of Killeen,and James Washington Jr. of Camp Humphreys, Korea; three daughters; Deidre Washington of Killeen; Matesia Berkley of Killeen; and Colette Washington of Killeen; two brothers; David Lewis of Carlsbad N.M.,and James Lewis of Killeen; four sisters: Beaulah Minner of Roswell, N.M., Betty Broach of Burnet, Monica Davis of Temple, Regina Palmer of Hobbs, N.M.; 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
