CAMERON — Private family burial for Charlie Walter Lucko, 87, of Cameron were held Wednesday, July 25, at the Vogelsang Cemetery near Ben Arnold. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Lucko died Tuesday, July 24, in a Cameron nursing center.

He was born in Walkers Creek Community of Milam County to Otto and Helena (Barkemeyer) Lucko.

He married Laverna Mabel Miller and she preceded him in death in 1995.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Ben Arnold.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Hernandez.

Survivors are three sons, Curtis Lucko, Sherwood Lucko, both of Cameron, and Luther Lucko of Leander; two daughters, Linda Lucko of Austin, and Patricia (Pat) Lucko of Temple; one brother, Monroe Lucko of Cameron; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
