Nolan receives 99-year sentence

Cathy Elain Nolan cursed the court and victim as Bell County sheriff deputies led her from the defense table Thursday morning after being sentenced to 99-years in state prison for the March 16, 2006 murder of Brooke LaSalle Wilder in Killeen, Texas.

The 426th District Court jury deliberated 2 hours and ten minutes before returning the verdict in the capital murder trial that began July 23. Assistant District Attorney Michael Waldman had asked the jury for a life sentence. Ms. Nolan’s defense attorney Jack Holmes had asked for probation.
