A memorial service for Harold Graves, 82, of Rockdale and formerly Vanderbilt will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

He died Saturday, Aug. 18, at an Austin hospital.

Mr. Graves served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1989 after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen Local No. 206.

Hornsby-Murcherson Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
