Services for John “Bubba” Herbert Wright Sr., 58, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Temple with Dr. U.C. Barnes Sr. and the Rev. Davy K. Wright officiating.

Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories.

Mr. Wright died Saturday, Sept. 8, at a Temple hospital.

He was born in Temple to John and Myrtle Hutchinson Wright. He graduated from Dunbar High School in Temple and he served in the U.S. Navy. He married Hettie Henderson in 1969.

Survivors include his wife of Temple; six sons, John Herbert Wright Jr., Travis Jackson, Aaron Wright, Julius Thomas and Vance Blunson, all of Temple, and Byron Wright of Austin; two daughters, Kimberly Wright of Temple and Sheila Byrd of Huntsville, Ala.; his mother; one brother, the Rev. Davy Wright of Temple; four sisters, Phyllis Woosley of Fayetteville, N.C., Linda Bradford of Conyers, Ga., Angia DeVore of Basra, Iraq, and Rhonda Russell of Conyers; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple.
