A memorial service for Charles Wallace “C.W.” Swofford, 55, of Little River will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

He died Wednesday, Sept. 5, at a Temple hospital.

Mr. Swofford was born in Rock Hill, S.C., to Wallace and Laura Gregg Swofford.

He worked 21 years at Texas Instruments in Austin and Temple.

He was also an umpire with the Central Texas youth baseball leagues. He graduated from Georgetown High School in 1972. He married Laura J. Parsons on July 3, 1976, in Austin.

Survivors include his wife, of Little River; two sons, John W. Swofford of Arlington and Jared T. Swofford of Little River; two brothers, William E. Swofford and Paul E. Swofford, both of Round Rock; one sister, Linda G. Parker, of Round Rock; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
