GATESVILLE — Services for Gene Keadle Jr., 78, of Gatesville will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville.

Burial will be in McGregor City Cemetery.

Mr. Keadle died Monday, Sept. 10, at his home.

He was born in Longview to Wylie Eugene Keadle Sr. and Nora May Hesser Keadle.

He owned Gene’s Heating and Air Conditioning from 1973 until he retired in 2003. After his retirement, he worked as a farmer and rancher.

He married Linda Marie Wiese on Nov. 24, 1975. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flat.

Survivors include his wife, of Gatesville; one son, Brian Keadle; one stepdaughter, Ann McCarley; four brothers, James Keadle, Charles Keadle, Bill Keadle and Leroy Keadle; three sisters, Ellie Tuttle, Loretta Howard and Mary Joyce Gordon; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
