Services for Marli Simmonds, 12, of Troy will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Roy Parker officiating.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Ms. Simmonds died Sunday, Dec. 31, in an Austin hospital.

A sixth-grader at Troy Middle School, she was the daughter of Scott and Leslie Whiteley Simmonds.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Jim and Daurice Bowmer.

Survivors are her parents; three sisters, Emily Brooke Melvin, Abigail Marie Simmonds and Jackie Nell Simmonds; and her grandparents, Joe and Wanda Whiteley, Larry and Bonnie Neal, and David D. Simmonds.

Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
