Downtown Temple lost power for about 10 minutes Thursday afternoon because of a dangerous repair job that had to be done, said John Toone, area manager for TXU Electric Delivery.

Power was off from about 3:45 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. at the Temple Daily Telegram, the Municipal Building and many other downtown buildings. A small residential area east of downtown also had power cut off, Toone said.
