The city of Temple hopes to keep dialog flowing with the city of Belton, but with Temple still working on its growth management plan, discussions on potential annexation and related land exchanges might have to become part negotiations in the future, Temple Mayor Bill Jones III said on Friday.

A letter from Temple City Manager David Blackburn to Belton City Manager Sam Listi indicated that for the time being at least, both cities might simply agree to disagree for the time being regarding an annexation agreement.
