No services are planned for David Van Lankford, 57, of Temple. The body will be cremated.

He died Monday, Dec. 31, in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Lankford was born in Odessa to Jack Lankford and Betty King Lankford. He served in the Army Airborne Division and had lived in Temple for about a year. He was an instrument technician.

Survivors are a son, David Lankford of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Doug Lankford of Arlington and Roger Lankford of Plano; and a half sister, Kim Young of Glen Rose.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
