Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they made 24 turnovers and the Grey Wolves executed better down the stretch to give Shoemaker a 68-61 win.
Permenter had 18 points in the first half despite missing four of his first eight shots and added 19 in the second half. Seven of his blocks came in the final 16 minutes.
The loss dropped Temple (12-15) to 1-7 in District 13-5A, leaving it nothing more than an extremely remote mathematical chance of reaching postseason competition. Shoemaker (12-16) remained alive in the playoff race at 4-5.
