Services for Joe William Pechal, 89, of Temple will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery.

He died Wednesday, Jan. 3, in a Temple nursing home.

Mr. Pechal was born in Falls County to Joe and Rosie (Vitek) Pechal. He was a rancher and carpenter all of his life. He was a member of SPJST Lodge No. 47 and a Seaton school trustee.

His wife, Betty Pechal, preceded him in death.

Survivors are two sons, Larry Pechal and J.W. Pechal Jr., both of Temple; two daughters, Janet Mabry and Betty Kellerman, both of Temple; a brother, Clarence Pechal; two sisters, Valie Zabodny and Lorene Kotrla; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
