The city of Temple could trade 305 acres of land in the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) area outside the city limits for 217 acres from Belton.

The Temple City Council spent the bulk of their workshop on Thursday discussing a swap that would redefine the northwestern border between the two cities and add possible areas of growth for Temple and Belton.
